Doctors We Need Your Help
Did you know that in 1978, Black men accounted for 3.1% of the medical student body, and that in 2019, they only represented 2.9% of the student body? The list of health disparities and inequities suffered by the Black and Brown population in the United States is long. Black Men in White Coats is a national organization that actively works to improve these statistics by encouraging and supporting young men and women who have been underrepresented in medicine to see that they too, could have a successful career in healthcare. The Greensboro Medical Society, Old North State Medical Society, NC A&T, Guilford County Schools, and Cone Health are partnering with Black Men in White Coats to host a Youth Summit on November 6th from 1-5pm. The event will take place on the campus of NC A&T. We respectfully request your participation in this event . We know that your expertise in this area will be an inspiration to the future generation.
